Good Morning!

I wouldn't say exactly that I am not a morning person, but I need at least a good 5 minutes to sort of shake off the brain fog a bit. Give me say, 15 minutes, and I'm good to go... Rainbow Trio

Some of the finished peices from yesterdays' experiments...I really like the colors in this necklace.Especially when held up to the light. Since the resin was poured into an open cavity, the light makes the translucent resin really stand out.Blue tinted resin set in a mother-of-pearl pendant.I think the rings were a neat idea, but my sorely lacking clay shaping skills detract from the over-all

Fun With Colors...

Here are some of the pieces I ended up with from my first experiments with clay and resin:A little rough, but it gave me a good basis to decide in which direction I'd like to take it. I love the contrast of the vibrantly colored resin against the crisp white clay. So - on to phase two: Some mother-of-pearl beads I picked up on sale at Michaels... And some more crazy clay creations...hmmm...

Quiet - Work in Progress...

To me, one of the greatest appeals of working with resin is the ability to use it with so many other mediums. It lends itself beautifully to intigration in designs of metal, wood, plastic, clay, fabric...I first noticed and became interested in resin while reading a book about precious metal clay, or PMC. The mention of resin was just a small part in the back of the book - but I was hooked!So
